Mel and her staff welcome you to the Black Bear Wool Free House.

 

The Black Bear is in the oldest part of Wool  village. The pub dates from the 19th century and has retained is Victorian charm.

 Great ales – we have 4 pumps that offer a changing selection of real ales. Check out our Facebook page  for the latest Ales. Friendly and efficient service with a smile. Great value home cooked food. A variety of entertainment from specials nights, to quizzes and live music.

In the hands of Mel it has become a local focal point (a “real” pub) where people can be found at any time of the day. garden 1Whether its  enjoying a drink in company or taking advantage of the great food or entertainment. Being on the way to Lulworth Cove and Castle means a good amount of passing trade made welcome from morning coffee, through lunch to afternoon tea and dinner.

The recently refurbished beer garden is a lovely spot to enjoy the Dorset sunshine as well as watch the world go by.
